One bedroom apartments at The Lofts start at $1,600 per month. I don't know of any other one bedroom apartments available in The Villages.

There are some rent controlled senior housing areas near, but not in the villages. I think the actual rent is contingent on certain levels of income.

Rented our 3/2 2 years ago $1500 a month with no golf cart. Now probably 2K+. Buyer/renter beware of this article.

I heard they're putting affordable housing in the Villages soon. It will be a lottery and need to meet low income financial requirements.
Government says TV needs to be more diverse and open to everyone.

It’s not a joke. This is one of the cheapest places you’ll find. Home prices are low, as well they should considering the quality and small sizes of the houses. Even rent is low here compared to Orlando and Miami.
