Default The Villages Policy on Motorcycles

Is there a specific policy on having a motorcycle in The Villages? I have seen a few but they have been few and far between. They can be kind of noisy so I was wondering if there is a policy against them.

There are at least 10 motorcycles in my village. Just another way to enjoy TV.

I don't think there are any restrictions. There are a couple on our street, more in our neighborhood, and I see them a lot down where we are by 466A.

Of course, it's kind not to go revving your engine through the neighborhood, or whatever it's called that some folks do.

Cool

There is no policy against motorcycle in The Villages, as other have said. In fact, there are two motorcycles clubs in The Villages (Villages Nomads & Gold Wing Club) with quite a few members.

Some Villagers put motorcycle engines in their golf carts. They get kind of noisy and are fairly fast.

I ride a motorcycle and have no problems at all in The Villages.

I've got two motorcycles. So far no problem.

That would explain a few of the ones I've seen. Hmm. The possibility of a small jet engine on a yamaha. I certainly would not deliberately rev a loud harley for my neighbors to hear if I could own one.

My HD is pretty loud so I make sure I just about idle out of my neighborhood. My neighbors are pretty much used to it and I never rev the engine just to make noise.

Some of the workers trucks are much louder! Some people in TV want to ban everything that is not to their liking. Really~

This was the first question my husband asked the sales agents and he said they are allowed. We visited a few communities where they were not allowed.

Tom has two Harleys and one has Hooker Header pipes which are loud. He will exit and enter the neighborhood as quietly as possible. I think as long as he doesn't rev up the engine it won't be a problem. We have no complaints from neighbors where we live now.
