Default It is now Monday at 7:11 a.m.

It's 7:11 a.m. Monday August 20th. Since 5:30 this morning freight trains have passed 5 times. One time, the engineer sounded the horn 33 times. >

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH :verymad: :verymad:

OOOOPS.......here comes another one......that's 6.

I did a morning radio show for 40 years and had to get up at 4:30 every morning. I couldn't wait to move here so I could sleep late.

(remember, I live in Chatham. I don't know if this stupid freight train runs past the homes in any other Villages.)

It could be worse. Where I am it is 6:11am. On Central time. Wish I could help with the train.

Bimm: Great article on Quiet Zones for Trains. Perhaps Jan could find enough concerned residents to form a group and lobby the developer for quiet zones in TV. I'm sure anyone living on the train side of TV (whether in Chatham or not) would be in favour of the idea. TV should have put in berms or noise buffers when they were building .. it is time they spent some money to rectify the problem.
