Not much to see out there. Too much politics added.

Aside for lousy movies, dropping 15 bucks for the show and another 10 or so for snacks, folks that want to talk or answer their phone, I'd rather stream a movie at home. Spend some money on a good surround sound and never go back.

I remember movies in the 40's and 50's where the actors had a distinct way of speaking that was quite clear.

I guess that's a good question. I've always had a great long-term memory. I can tell you the date I did most anything important. I find it's easier if you tie it into some other important event. When I saw a movie it was remembered because of a birthday, a happening, meeting someone. For example, I graduated from high school on June 6, 1968, why do I remember that date, RFK died that day. I also have a good short-term memory which was enhanced by being an air traffic controller. In a dark, cool room you're forced to remember the goings and comings of ten aircraft that is constantly changing for a two hour period. Kind of like playing chess but the pieces are moving. Here's Pensacola Approach where I worked for a few years.

Like everything here, variety is what makes life enjoyable.....theater movies aren't for everyone and neither is home viewing. Isn't it great to have individual choices

It is. And from what I have seen at showings of some movies the Villages' theaters are rather busy. Movies like Judy, Downton Abbey, Joker and others have been crowded.

They showed that this year at the Rialto. I won some kind of lottery to see it there. Not sure how many other winners they had. It was for picks of the Oscar winners for the 2018 movie season at the 2019 Academy Awards.
