Default First Week

Well, we've been here one week! How does anyone move here without spending a year or so on TOTV first! This first week was overwhelming but not overly so because of all I have learned here. It's nice to be at least familiar with most of TV and everything going on, so a great big "thank you" to all and plan to be at Crispers next month (3rd Thursday?).

Margaret

PS You didn't tell me about all the mockingbirds down here! Love them, they are my favorite bird.

I have been on TOTV for almost 3 years now and like you there is a wealth of information. On top of that I have made some wonderful friends on chat here that welcomed us with open arms when we were down in December to purchase our home. Sometimes I probably spend too much time on here, especially in chat at night. Crisper's is truly great fun and you will meet a lot of wonderful people. Welcome to TV.

Default Closing in June

Have family in and near The Villages, got the video three years ago, visited TV for happy hour and dining a few times in the last few years and just bought a CYV via email and phone calls. Family and sales rep sent lots of pictures and videos and since it is in a brand new section that is still under construction, there is not much to see as far as the neighborhood goes. Our new home is 1 mile from my cousin so we know the area and one house in a certain model is pretty much the same as the other except for any upgrades.

We lucked out and were able to get a CYV on an oversized corner lot and we also would like to read any advice experienced Villagers may have.

Jaspal, Are you visiting or moving here in 5 weeks? If moving, I would get/order/set up appointments for as much as you can before you move here. I waited too long and won't have all my furniture until July! We ordered enclosed lanai, birdcage, plantation shutters this week, and those probably won't be done for a couple of months.

Swrinfla, Thanks for the correction!

Lou, I'm glad you are moving here. I remember totally agreeing with one of your posts in the past, but I don't remember the topic!

Vinny, Sounds like we will be neighbors. We are in Pennecamp where they are building like crazy. We, too, have a CYV on a corner lot, but couldn't get an oversized lot. Lucky you!

Wait till those Mockingbirds start building nests and attack you! They are ruthless and hurt!!!
Yes, I found TOTV right after our LSV and it was great to learn everything and really understand what we saw when at TV.
