They must tell you something new on every call.

If your dogs are like my dogs, they would much rather be out riding in the golf cart with me than stuck in a hotel room alone. Just make sure they are secure with a leash for their protection.
You'll have a ball exploring The Villages with your two friends. There are dog parks around for a break. I think they'll love it. |

I have family that did the LSV in Oct for 6 or 7 days and they are coming back in Feb for 6 days staying in Villa's down by Brownwood. In Oct the cart was included this Feb they are renting a cart as it is not included in the Feb LSV and as I stated we did 3 LSV before we moved here

One thing for sure .. most dogs adore riding in golf carts. When we take our dogs in our golf cart, we use harnesses instead of collars, in case we have to brake suddenly. (And as suggested by Janmcn, of course the harnesses are securely anchored with leashes for the dogs' protection).

If your sales agent sees that you are a serious prospect, he can go to bat to get additional LSVs, without some of the extra perks. We have been offered a second LSV, but we rent for two months in the winter so are not interested.

Just a guess, but perhaps that is all they had available at the particular time you wanted.

We had a dog when we first started looking at retirement communities. We ask our contact (sales agent) to get us info on area "doggie hotels" and made arrangements for our 12 year old Toy poodle. Sometimes we left her at home with a dog setter----now that I look back---that really made the most sense. I know you won't agree but that is really best for your dog friend. She made it to retirement and passed at 16. She was our best and last.

Perhaps you might be able to find a TV resident who would pet sit your dogs in their home for short periods during your stay. I know that there are many dog lovers here that no longer have dogs of their own, and perhaps they’d enjoy the chance to spend some time with dogs and make a little money at the same time. That sounds like something I would like to do...if I didn't have dogs of my own.

i know that there will be negative feedback on my comments. if you are here for a week put the dogs in a kennel in illinois. as far as dogs in restaurants, it is annoying and unsanitary to share dining space (indoors or out) with dogs. it was gross in Berlin and Paris and is not acceptable here. they are dogs.
