thank you and hats off to bkcunningham1 for alerting us to the delimma of the 'concrete curtain'...and for the several times you jumped into the 650+ posts to calm us down!

thanx to the villagers and non-villagers who made the time to show up in spanish springs town square to show your support of the importance of this path; and to those who contacted and secured support from the media. and to the folks who called villages offices - and are probably still waiting for a call bacl as i am!

thanx to so many posters who provided historical references to the life of this path and its once-upon-a-time gate.

So glad that the powers that be responded to the resident's concerns and did the right thing. Too bad this happened to begin with. Very, very poor PR and lack of judgement.
