Default Wannabes want to connect with people in TV!

We are coming to visit TV for the first time from SEpt 27-OCT 6th(!). We really would like to meet people from TV. So if you would like to meet with us for coffee/drinks/soda, or at the squares send me a PM or post here. My hubby and I want to ask lots of general questions and just get a feel for the lifestyle.
We are in our 50's, and want to meet with anyone who will suffer through our many questions!
Hope to find a weekly rental home, looking at thevillages4rent.
Can't wait to finally experience TV in person!!

Go anywhere, you'll meet people !! Walk into any Rec center and just start tallking to people, well, really that works anywhere. We are not in your age group but tons of people are, sure you'll get lots of responses. You might want to talk to your age group and get their perspective, altho I'm quite sure most of us Villagers have the same great perspective ! Just looked at your dates again and we will not be in town then or I'd be happy to meet with you. Good luck, you'll want to stay more than a week !!!!

Totally agree with Mudder - go anywhere in TV, especially the Rec Centers and you will meet loads of people to talk to. My other half and I have often been approached by people when we were at both Sumter Landing and Spanish Springs Town Squares. We have also been out to supper and had people talk to us. I don't think you will have trouble finding people who want to tell you what a great place this is to live.

Have a wonderful visit and enjoy everything we have to offer.

Hey, "West By God", we offered as well. We bought pre-owned. Our friends bought new. With you building, that would give Dreamer great insight to all three options.

Dreamer, be sure to scroll down to "Nuts and Bolts" on the home page of TOTV. There is a three part "Moving to The Villages" posted by Sticky. Quite helpful information.

Sounds to me like this could be turning into a party. Care to share where this might be occurring?

Thanks everyone for your PM's and responses! My husband is originally from the Show ME State of Missouri, and somewhat sceptical of TV and the video but I think he is ready to drink the Kool-Aid now!
And thanks for the reminder to chk out Nuts and Bolts section!

If you think he might be ready to drink the Kool Aid, just wait until you folks get here and see that the video doesn't do justice to the "real" TV! There is so much to see that you'll need much more time than a LSV will allow you. You'll see. BTW, the Kool Aid isn't so bad, but the tracking/mood altering chip in the neck hurts for a bit. I just love my own humor!

Hello california dreamer -- Hope your first visit to TV is a great one! My 5th visit to TV is next month but later on than your visit. It sounds like you will have a chance to talk to a lot of TOTV members while you are there which should be very helpful to you. I have found that most people in TV are very glad to answer questions and tell you about their experiences living in TV.

I love it too.

Still waiting for my front to expand ala Stepford wives rumors.
