Water quality in TV
This is what a filter looks like after 10 months of use, (bottom pic) all the brown discoloration you see is what was trapped by/in the filter, so you are drinking, bathing, cooking and if you have a pool, swimming in this nasty stuff.
This is why a whole house filter WHF is something to consider here in TV. It's not the water hardness you need to concern yourself with its the contaminants. Water softeners do not clean the water or remove chlorine. More info here About hard water which is harmless and a kinda a waste of money to install equipment to soften it. read more about the myths of hard water. Nova triple cartridge with pressure guages |

We had on of these systems installed in our courtyard villa. Before the system was in I couldn't even stand to brush my teeth with the tap water. After, all the tap water tastes fine! No more funky smell either. This system is the best!

Hi
Couple of questions… How long will the filters last (in gallons or average time)? What is the replacement cost for filters? Thanks Don

Don good ?
As it stands now about 18 months is a good rule of thumb. Having said that you may go much longer, our unit has two gauges, it first measures in incoming water (or street ) pressure or PSI. The second gauge measure the water pressure after the filters as the water enters the home. I live in Fernadina, my street pressure is about 70 psi as long as my second gauge is within 15% of that or reading above 60 psi the filters still have time before needing to be changed. Mine is reading just under 70 about 68 psi after one year. That's a nice feature, you're guessing when to change out because of the gauges. Most other filters don't have them. Cost -a set of 3 sells for less than $70, I can install them for $25 when needed, so $95 |

Keily and Sons installed a system similar to this at my home for less that 400 dollars. If your handy, you can buy the parts and install yourself.

I recently got the Nova Filtration system. It was $495 installed in my cyv. I can certainly tell the difference and I no longer buy bottled water.

What type of system does the Kiley & Sons Inc sell? Is it a triple cartridge with pressure gauges like Nova's?
