Default We are coming for 5 day visit. What are must-dos?

My wife and I are coming for a lifestyle visit on Friday and we will be at the villages until Wednesday. We're really excited to visit. We are not golfers. I'm especially interested in classic cars. What are the "must sees" and the "must dos"?

Sorry but you will miss the "cruise in" at Spanish Springs which is a classic and antique car show held the third Saturday of each month. Think you would enjoy that. Take the trolley tour and make sure you spend some time at either of the town squares. There is entertainment at night and you can "people watch" to get a feel for the neighborhood. Bet you will find some friendly folks to talk to as well. The boat tour on Lake Sumter is kind of cute too. If you are mobile, take a tour around so you can get familiar with the types of stores and shopping in the area. Whatever you end up doing, I hope you become enchanted with The Villages as much as many of us have.

Also get a copy of the Recreation News that comes out on Thursdays in the Daily Sun. This will give you an overview of the numerous activities that are available at no cost. Check with the sales office to make sure you get a look at this. The Villages is not only about golf but a myriad of other opportunities for your enjoyment. You have your choice from aerobics to zumba and everything in between. If you have an interest, there is a compatible activity here for you to participate in. There are numerous restaurants to choose from as well. Depending upon you home choice, you have many alternatives from the entire area to select from. Enjoy your visit and hope to find you as snowflakes, snowbirds, or frogs like myself very soon.

:welcome to: TOTV.

I would take the trolley tour. Visit the rec centers and neighborhood pools.
Both squares for dancing and or listening to the music. Look in the paper for daily activities or special events that interest you.

I love Donna Moore who appears at Katie's Belle on Monday's I believe.
I forget the actual name of the show but it is popular.

Most of all, talk to people as everyone is so friendly and they will give you additional advice.

Spend time driving a golf cart around.Don't worry about getting lost most folks will help you get to where you want to go.Softball is big here and you can see a game evrey morning except sunday at either complex. Also if you play there's an open practice for anyone with a glove on sunday mornings from dawn to noon @ the Saddlebrook Softball fields. I don't know if it's still Polo season but Friday afternoon matches are free and a joy to watch from your golf cart!Spend time at a neighborhood pool if the weather is nice..you'll meet a lot of nice folks!!

We enjoyed exploring with the cart. Don't worry about getting lost, just bring a map, and if that doesn't work, just stop and ask someone. You'll be amazed how helpful everyone will be. We've even had people tell us to follow them when it was out of their way. But most importantly, the first thing you're going to want to do when you first arrive, is figure out a way to get back here. It's going to happen, no doubt, 'cause it's inevitable. Trust me, I know, it happened to us!
