Smile Health Insurance

Will be moving down soon. Will lose health insurance at end of month. Have VA Health insurance. Will this be enough or will I need more? Thanks in advance Gerry & Terry

Your best bet is to contact your local VA facility and speak with the Means Testing office. They determine how much you pay at a VA facility.

If you are 65 or over you need to sign up for Medicare part A at SS site. No charge.

VA isn't insurance in the normal sense. If you are retired military on one of the Tricare programs, then the insurance is comprehensive and probably enough. If your are 65+ then Medicare is will be the first payer and Tricare the secondary (Part B) payer. If you are not retired military but are a veteran with VA benefits, then you need to talk to the VA about your benefits. Also if you are retired miltary your wife may be covered but if VA, wife is likely not entitled to benefits.
