Default We Made it!

After our first visit (coincidentally on an Italianfest night 2 years ago),buying a house in March and lurking on TOTV we finally MADE IT! Yesterday, after arriving on the autotrain, we had the greatest day. Dinner at Pauly's and Rocky and the Rollers in SS! What a way to inaugurate us as FROGS!

Wore our Phillies hat and met some great folks from our "old" home town.

If every day is like that one, whoa, this is living the dream!

Now we look forward to Crispers and meeting other fine TOTV'ers

Hope to see and meet other folks from the Philly area!

See ya on the links!

Congratulations! After planning, dreaming, and saving it must be a terrific feeling to finally arrive. We close in less than 2 weeks (does this mean we are currently tadpoles?). I hope our first day is as grand as yours

Congrats to you and may you have many happy days ahead of you.

Looking forward to being in the same situation in Sanibel in late 2012.

Default Auto Train?

Lucky, lucky you.

I have some time left before I can join you, although I have a Life Style Preview in November. I'm also from Philly and when I return in April 2012 to rent for a couple of months I plan to take the auto train. How was your trip? Any pointers that I can learn from you before I make reservations on the train? Did you rent a room? Were you upstairs or down?

Enjoy the good life in the Villages.

the autotrain is THE way to go (as we don't fly). It's and easy drive down 95 3 hours from Devon PA and just a great experience. Get your reservations now to save money. We tried to do the coach thing (like so what is one night of questionable sleep we thought). Boy was that a rough time. We won't go without a room. Wife was already here unpacking so I did a roomette which is fabulous for 1 but quite a challenge for 2 I surmised. IF we return to PA ( as I said to my friends "when you live in paradise you vacation in hell?) we will always use the AT 1 1/4 hours from TV.

Anything else I can help with just ask

Our roomette for 2 was fine. No issues, had one on the 1st floor, close to bathrooms.
