Default "No Dumping" Dog yard signs

Have you noticed the proliferation of the little doggie signs in peoples yards that say "No Dumping PLease" with a cut out sign of a dog hunched over in a compromising position? Hmmm they are starting to multiply one would think they are alive and mate at night.
As a villager I thought there were restrictive covenants against statuary and signs in yards???? Okay so maybe not (depending on village of course) but really people are you that anal (sorry for the pun here) that you don't want a neighbor dog in your yard? Okay of course they should pick up the poop and carry a doggie bag if they walk their dog but shouldn't the sign read "Pick up your dog poop" rather than "no dumping"? Is your grass that special?

I haven't noticed more of those signs, but I am happy that people are using them. For those that are "anal" about the dog poop on their lawn, it's the thing to do. My pup may have an occasional "accident" on a neighbors lawn. However, if I see one of those stupid signs.....she is on the other side of the road far away from the lawn with the sign.
I personally don't think those little signs are considered an ornamental yard thing...or a yard sign.
I'm lucky that my neighborhood is very dog friendly. We ALL pick up after our pups.....ALWAYS!!!!

Unusual post for your first.....welcome to TOTV????

When I see something like this, I always wonder. Yes I do.

I don't know about the signs but, it is my yard, and I don't want someone's dog doing its business there. Why can't you just have it go n your own yard. Is your grass that special?

Thankfully, I haven't noticed. I have to wonder why anyone would.

Well, my yard is my private yard. I don't go down and whiz on anyone elses. Dogs on leashes says to me the owner is allowing his dog to go onto my yard.

I love dogs I really do and if I didn`t travel so much I would have one or perhaps even two .

However their urine kills the grass and it just seems odd that an owner/ dog parent would think that it is A-OK to kill their neighbor`s grass day after day .

I agree! I had a neighbor that kept going to my lawn and he is across the street. I told him that he better stop this and that to train his dog to do his business on his own lawn. He got mad and said how do I know when my dog will go! Gee now his dog is trained to pop on his own lawn, driveway etc. Dog owners who let their dogs go on other peoples lawns that is my property! We spend enough to keep it nice.
