My wife and I were returning from Walgreens and stopped at the light at Morse Ave and Rt 44. Waiting for the light to change, we saw, in the median strip, two guys. My wife said to me, hey look, they’re dealing drugs. One man had a homeless sign, he was selling, and the other had a bicycle and was buying. Now I haven’t seen a drug purchase in person, but from TV, the little wrapped see thru packets and the wad of cash observed of the seller and the exchange of money by the buyer seems to me a good indication of a drug sale and purchase. To blatenly do that in broad daylight, in full view of everyone stoped at the light, is to say the least, quite bold. With that wad of money the dealer put away in his pocket, I was tempted to ask him “how about a helping hand to a retired person”? :-)

There is a person panhandling there most every day sometimes middle of the day in the heat and usually a bike laying in the grass. I guess I should call the po po it’s been going on for a while now and I for one am getting tired of seeing it along with the yards signs the companies put out on others property (don’t buy from these people). It’s usually a beautiful intersection.

I saw the same thing - sign-holder and bicyclist, in the median strip on 441 near Walmart and McDonald's (past the Spanish Plaines Hospital area going north).
I thought I was misinterpreting what I saw - but now that there's reports of it down the road in this thread, I'll be more watchful. And yes if I see it I'll absolutely call it in. |

I saw it happen right in front of the Wildwood City Hall on a park bench. A young woman was dropped off by a pickup truck near the gazebo, she went into the gazebo and sat down for a few minutes then walked over in front of City Hall and sat on a park bench. A few minutes later a older man carrying a small suitcase walked from behind City Hall, sat down on a second park bench, left his suitcase and walked over to the gazebo, sat down for a few minutes and walked away. Then came the pickup truck and the girl with the suitcase got in and they left. What else could it have been?
