Default We're back from our lpp

My wife and I are just back from our LPP trip; one of the most memorable and informative vacations I've had in a long time. Virtually everything came off without a hitch.

The sales rep was the most interesting and helpful person we could ask for and we enjoyed her company while she explained all that was available in TV.

We used all our gratuities and indulged in a few or our own...and I do mean a massage at Tuscany!

I have to relate one story although I've got a few.

We were visiting the Arnold Palmer Club and the clubhouse was a bit quiet, with a few people (both residents and clubhouse personnel) standing around and shopping. No sooner did we announce why we were there and everyone started to introduce themselves...I mean with personal calling cards and information on all subjects related to moving to and living in TV! It was unbelievable!

I started asking so many questions my wife had to stop me, thinking I was getting too personal.

I mean every question that I brought down with me they answered; the bonds, the banks, electric vs. gas carts, renting, other expenses...everything!

One resident invited us to join her for lunch which we did and took the opportunity to learn as much as possible. We were informed of the history of the development and the future prospects...this was one informed lady!

(The fact that some of the communities are serviced by gas and others by electric was something that never even crossed my mind.)

All in all I'd say that having a rental car and the golf cart allowed us to really get the "lay of the land" and experience the lifestyle much more than visiting with friends.

It was a trip I'm very glad we finally took and our thanks go out to all of you good folks who spoke up so proudly of your new found home and how happy you'd be to welcome us.

AWWWww. I am blinking back tears.

I am so glad you had a lovely time and that your experience was so like many of ours here on TOTV.

I am so proud to be a villager and so happy with all of the wonderful things that we can do in this lovely place.

I hope you had something kool to drink that will bring you back to throw your lot with ours.

A sincere heartfelt welcome to you two!

And kindest wishes of every kind.
Gracie

Hi Ivanhoe,

You gave me goosebumps too. Our experience in TV has been as you described since we first set foot on the place.

"Don't it make you want to go home," to TV?

All best wishes to both of you!

I'm so very glad you got to see the best part of TV -- its residents. They really are a warm, friendly group.

Now, to get off the subject -- I hope your name comes from one of my favorite books. Ivanhoe was a book I read and re-read several times in my teens. Hmm, maybe I should read it again and see if it is still as beloved. Thanks for the idea!

ivanhoe:

to TOTV. I am so happy you had a great time and realize the people in TV are the best.

Your post just makes me wish I could move there immediately.

Thanks everyone for your responses!

Yes, 'redwitch' that was the book that introduced me to the joy of reading and I'll be eternally grateful to Sir Walter Scott for getting me off of Heckle and Jeckle!

Did I mention GarVino's after our massage? No?

Well I'm still dreaming of that bruschetta with a nice glass of Merlot...crap I'll never make another year!
