After the closing, we took our girls down to see their new home. (they weren't impressed) Then we came back to our rental to get ready for the trip tomorrow. When we get back, we have to get our drivers license and auto registration switched so we can get the Homestead Exemption.
Greg - Glad to hear everything went well. Good for you both!! Be safe on your trip back north!!!

Congrats! This is truly paradise. When you're done unpacking get out and explore.

Default Congrats

Is this the same villa you replied to me regarding a March rental? We have rented for many years and enjoy it more each time. Hope to be a resident soon.

Congrats! You can now enjoy the holidays in your new home.

We are looking forward to our January 11 closing on our new home in Buttonwood.

Kudos!

We're closing on the 27th and doing our walk through on Jan 10 when we visit for a week.

So much to do - so little time

I think you have me confused with someone else. This is not a villa and we will be living there full time.

We closed on our new home in Buttonwood on Tuesday the 14th. Unfortunately we had to leave that same day. Plan on being back right after Christmas for a few days.

Russ, are you closing by mail? We are closing on 1/11/11 and have decided to close by mail because we didn't want to risk being snowed in and not making our closing. That's my logic, anyway.

I still plan on flying out of Boston on 1/11 to spend two weeks getting things organized. However, should we get hit by a northeaster, at worse case my flight will canceled, but I won't be putting our closing at risk.

If you are closing by mail, I would appreciate any input you can share, after you close, that might help our closing go smoother. This will be our first closing by mail and I'm just a little concerned about the process.

Yes, closing by mail late next week. Supposedly everything is smooth but I'll let you know how it goes. I'll post here and PM you.

We closed by mail also. The closing went smooth. No problems. Once you get to TV, the builder will give you a walk thru. our builder, some guy named Scott was great and covered everything. You live in a great neighbothood with me and Russ as neighbors. What more could you ask for??? LOL.

Thanks from your soon to be neighbor!

I'm making arrangements to have my car transported on truck to TV and I hope it will arrive close to 1/11. I'm going to order some furniture from Southern Living this week so I won't walk in to a completely empty house. Once there, I can concentrate on the house and start to look for a golf cart.
