Default We're coming to TV Aug. 30 for 1 week

Kathy and I will be arriving TV on Sunday, Aug. 30 and staying one week.

We would appreciate any suggestions about filling our days and nights. We have been there previously, so we have some knowledge about the "lay of the land." But we've only scratched the surface. TV's Gracie & Henry have given us invaluable help the past few months; we live about 15 miles apart up north in Ohio. Gracie provides me my "TV fix" vicariously.

Kathy & I plan on playing golf at Palmer and Mallory (as part of the Lifestyle Preview plan). We played pickleball (beginners) on our last trip, and we would like to do that again (hopefully).

Please, folks, give us ideas about filling our calendar for that upcoming fabulous week (Sunday, Aug. 30 thru Saturday, Sept 5). The countdown is on...we can't wait to visit TV again!

Default You are gonna love them.

I cannot say enough about this nice couple. If ever there was a match made in heaven it is Kathy and Gene and TV.

I am asking my friends on TOTV to arrange a meet and greet to get to know these lovely people.

Because of both of their high powered careers, they can only squeeze a week to visit The Villages a year and they have FOUR years until they can be there for good.

I hope you will make this week special for them.

Hope you have a wonderful week in TV, Kathy and Gene! I'm not a resident of TV yet (hopeful though) but I'm sure there will be Villagers who will be happy to help make your stay special. My husband and I are hoping to make it back for another visit later in the year ourselves.

Default Workout areas at TV?

Since we're not members of the TV Rec. Center Health Clubs, is there any place else to work out while we're at TV the first week of September?

You can pay a daily fee to work out at the Wellness Center.

Gene & Kathy, Welcome to TV.... we'll be sure to keep in contact when your here and meet with you at the square one night. Where are you staying? For exercise, a bunch of us go to water aerobics in the morning, its great exercise and we have men and women in our group. There are 2 classes we go to, Mon/Wed/Fri at Colony @9am and Tues/Thurs/Sat at Lake Miona @ 10am. I'll pm you my phone number so we can keep in touch when you arrive.

Have a safe trip down. Yes, GG, I'll try to take good care of them...

Default Wellness Center info?

Could you give me the phone number of the Wellness Center so I can call? Where is it located? I've been on a mission the past 33 days to work out every day. Don't want to break that with a trip. Kathy is in better shape than I am. She can really "walk up a storm" on the treadmill. She is my mentor <g>.

Gracie,

In addition to playing a couple of the larger courses (as part of the lifestyle preview package), Kathy and I would like to play at least one round of Executive course golf. Do you know any couple who would pair up with us? We would have to be their guests (we would gladly pay), since we wouldn't have any direct privileges of booking an Executive course on our own.

We would like to play a challenging Exec. course (but not lose ?? golf balls). Every time I play the Titleist golf ball company loves it <g>. We have played with you and Henry, so you know our "fair" golf playing ability. If we break below 100 on a regular course (18 holes) that's about our tempo. We love the game, but we haven't quit our day-time jobs to play the circuit <g>.

Your friend, Gene (Kathy, too)

Default I have never seen anyone so excited to go to TV!!

These guys are not novice golfers for sure and they beat me squarely when we played. I hope someone might play golf with them on an executive course. They don't cuss, walk in your putting line or shout out in your back swing. They are kinda cute too.

Kathie.......thanks for watching out for them. I hope they go to Havana and dance on a Friday night and to the Karaoke at Red Sauce!

Below is a link to the rating of the executive courses as to difficulty.

Default Which 2-3 Exec. courses would you recommend?

Indy-Guy,

Thanks for the course ratings of the T.V. Executive golf courses. What are the top 3 Exec. courses you suggest we play? We're fair-to-average golfers. We play to have fun and simply improve our game inch-by-inch (...or 1/2 inch).

We'll be staying at the newest village (former Buffalo area), near Sum. Square.

We played golf with Gracie and Henry about a month ago in Cincinnati. We had a lot of fun with them. What an enjoyable couple they are! Gracie should win the "TV Ambassador of the Year" award.

Gene
