We're Number One Again!
The Villages is the fastest growing planned community in the country.
Baby Boomers are retiring at the rate of ten thousand a day and will continue doing so for the next 16 years. Florida is now the third most populous state after California and Texas and I think this brutal cold weather will make many more people think about retiring here. People who moan about how big The Villages is getting should remember that folks will move to this area anyway and they might as well be in this well run community than adjacent to us and having the problems around us of a not well run community. The few people who will say nay are the realtors that cannot sell new homes here and those who do not like to see the success of large companies. Me and mine............we like it. Carry on Morses. God Bless the royals.

Growth is good. It's good in business, and it's good in a community. Without growth, decline can easily happen.

Thank you for the sales information. That is truly an impressive record.
The baby boomers were born from 1946 through 1964; the peak birth years were in the middle of that range and those particular folks are now in their sixties thus it should be prime time to sell houses in TV and other 55 and over communities.

If you ESTIMATE $60,000 per home for the first 3 years, and 330,000 to 350,000 for the last 3 years, the total value of the NEW homes is over $12,000,000,000, yes 12 BILLION dollars.

Just keep the infrastructure up and build a couple of more championship courses.

The hospitals and medical facilities here are a disgrace, and they all carry the Morse name.......I mean the ""VILLAGES"" name as licensed by the Morse family. Instead of planting petunas and building golf courses, they should pump some money into the hospital here. |

The Villages Hospital is not operated or managed by the Morse's or The Villages. Central Florida Health manages the hospital and leases the just the building and the name from The Villages.
Central Florida Health also manages Lessburg hospital and is doubling the size of the ER in Leesburg in response to the growth at the southern end of The Villages. Central Florida Health is also building a stand alone ER in the Brownwood area of The Villages. Central Florida Health also has the land for and is considering building another hospital in the Brownwood area. The Villages is building a day surgery center and attached hotel in the Brownwood area. The have also expanded The Villages Health specialty center to Brownwood. So things are happening to improve the medical facilities in The Villages. BTW we've had nothing but great service from both The Villages and Leesburg hospitals. The ER's do backup at times but that's an issue partly due to needing more facilities... and looks like that is starting to happen. |
