I would like to hear from anyone who has used or is currently using T Mobile for both internet an streaming content to TV. Is service reliable? I am concerned about advertised 50 mbps but was told it is actually much higher in our area.
Price of $50 for life sounds good but not if the service is unreliable or there is poor streaming performance. There are times we are streaming on two TVs and have a couple of tablets going at the same time. |

I am inquiring about the same thing. I question the reliability. There are a few Facebook groups with a lot of users experiences and comments

I currently have CenturyLink DSL which is 25 mb/sec download and 2 mb/sec upload for $45 per month. It’s easily enough for streaming to 1 TV and browsing multiple devices for my household.
I signed up for TMobiles $50 per month, home internet service a couple of days ago. But the modems are back ordered and I won’t receive mine until 2nd week in August. So I will find out how well this works in mid August. They allow me 3 weeks to try it out before billing begins. If I’m not satisfied, I’ll just return the modem and owe nothing. The service is “no contract” and you can discontinue at any time but you must return the modem. I know TMobile’s 4g telephone signal is not strong everywhere. But the home internet service does not use the 4g signal; it uses the new 5g transmitters only. I have no idea how strong the 5g signal currently is since my phone is not 5g compatible. But I suspect that it will be fine since their 5g transmitter is new and recently installed and because they have only recently started offering the service for my address. |
