Just a silly comment from who believes we should just stay hunkered down for the short time we have left on this earth.

My guess - TV is not for you. Why did you move here? To tell others to give up and that there is no hope - and that we should aspire to live forever - by staying in isolation?

I moved here because I want to live! I moved here because I figured many / most people here were from the generation - that didn’t give up - because most of us know - there is always something ‘around the corner’ that will be the next challenge to overcome. Life is living - good and bad.

My advice - go back to the area where you are from - I think it probably suits you much better. This doesn’t sound like the place for you.

BTW - went to one of those stand alone ERs - with a knee injury - virtually empty…. I was in and out in less than an hour.

Please - again, go back to where you came from - I moved here because I know I will die (sooner than later) - but spending time with friends and meeting new people and doing fun activities is how I want to spend the sunset of my life!

Also said the county officials are trying to keep it all quiet so they don’t have egg on their faces. People’s health doesn’t seem to be a top priority or officials would get the word out to let people know how things are. Don’t get in an accident or have a heart attack. There are just no ICU beds.

Omg some people are just so naive. Their ability to relate, identify sarcasm, and extrapolate to bigger meanings is absolutely zero!!!!!!

Sparky must drink his lunch. On the computer keyboard the "H" and "V" keys are pretty far apart.

I noticed in the chart you linked to that the total number of beds available went from 352 in early August to 220 currently. Where did 132 beds go?

I really don't agree that this thread was meant to be clever or humorous. The subject isn't humorous.

It is so frustrating to read exaggerated "facts" from people about Covid and blame placed incorrectly.

Anonymous people can say anything and claim anything. It is hard to find the truth even from valid sources these days.

Good suggestion visit the hospital then get back to us what's happening!

‘It’s bad’: Patients put in hallways as Florida hospitals fill up, report says | KGET 17
UF Health-The Villages Hospital is nearly at capacity due to the spread of COVID-19.

From the "unmentionable" website:

“We’ve seen a tremendous increase to the point that just about every available room in the hospital is being used,” said Villager Gary Kadow, a chaplain at the hospital who also serves on the foundation board. “We have quite a few people on ventilators.” He made the remarks Friday at the Community Development District 5 Board of Supervisors meeting. He serves as the board’s chairman.Kadow said the Delta Variant is spreading like Chicken Pox. And it’s the unvaccinated members of the public who are being infected.“A very, very high percentage (of the people admitted at the hospital) have not had the vaccine. If there is something that can help, I don’t know why you wouldn’t take advantage of it,” Kadow said. Fellow CDD 5 Supervisor Reed Panos, who spent his career as a surgeon, offered a dire warning.

“There will be more. We are not looking at the end of this for many years. It’s a travesty,” he said.

Meanwhile, Community Development District 8 Supervisor Phil Walker also indicated that the unvaccinated are putting themselves at risk.

He relayed the story of an unvaccinated couple in their 40s who caught COVID-19 when their children brought it home.

“We are in a bubble here in more ways than one,” Walker said.
Thank Dr. Fauci. He funded the research on this.

Dick Farrel longtime conservative radio host in Florida died of COVID-19, He died on Aug. 4, after 20 days at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach. He had refused the vaccine

In a July 3 post, Farrel asked “why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks, where the virus came from and the death toll?”

On June 30, he described the pandemic as a “SCAM DEMIC.”

On June 27, he wrote, “so you wanna take the Poison Pfizer and Moderna and J & J are peddling? have all you want. I know I don’t need it nor ever Will.”

Farrel called Dr. Anthony Fauci a “power tripping lying freak.

On July 2, Farrel described the Delta variant as “another avalanche of Footchi bull shif.”

On July 3, Farrel referred to him as “FOOT-chee,”

Now I have absolutely no problem with his views and though I do not want to see anyone die. What irritates me is that when he got sick he went to the hospital endangering the lives of the staff and their families, using resources that might have been needed for a child under the age of 12 who are not eligible to get the vaccine or someone with a weak immune system. He was an adult he exercised his constitutional rights not to take the shot. As the old saying goes, “He made his bed now he should lie in it” and as far as I’m concerned that bed should have been in his home not at a hospital.

It wouldn’t matter if he walked every hallway and every room , verified the hospital was full because people will still not believe
it . Won’t be until they catch Covid will they believe it really is true and how many will be infected by unvaccinated, unmasked non believers , sadly , they are the problem with this virus spreading unmercifully.

Children make up about 2.4% of hospitalized COVID patients. Since the onset of COVID, about 400 children have died from the virus. To put that in perspective, in that same timeframe, over 70,000 children have died from other causes…

In the hospitalsOver 90% are unvaccinated! That means less than 10% are fully vaccinated. If you compare apples to apples that’s nothing compared to 2020 SELL THE FEAR TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL GOOD!!

I don't care that it was only 2.4% hospitalized, or only 400 children have died from the virus. 1 Child is too many, I'm an adult and have lived my life. If we can give that gift to child we should do everything in our power to do so.
