Default What do you miss?

What do you miss, if anything, about your former life before moving to TV?

Absolutely nothing except a few relatives and friends....but they are far more prone to visit us here, where there is sunshine year-round, than they did in the midwest.

I miss good beef. I'm from Texas where the beef is so tender you can cut it with a fork. Here it's so stringy you can't hardly get it down. I also miss making a decent wage. Other than that, not much.

I miss my best friend terribly and I still miss our big house, but I also love this littlier house, or I will once we get it organized and looking neat. Looks like a hurricane went through right now!

Not a thing....really. Had a nice house, yard, location, friends. Here I have a nicer house, a nicer yard, a great location, wonderful friends.... AND hubby is retired and gets to enjoy those things, too!

Besides the obvious things like friends, family, etc., I miss wonderful home-grown tomatoes. I haven't had a decent tomato since moving to Florida!

I miss the gorgeous autumn foliage, walking in the rustling leaves and the smell of fall.

I miss my kids stopping in whenever they felt like it, I don't see them nearly enough and I miss real fall days and Minnesota sweet corn!

We were in Park Rapids area for our annual family vacation last week and had some delicious fresh-picked peaches and cream sweet corn.

Only someone from the East Coast would move to Florida and miss seafood! That's the reason I'm moving there..no seafood here in Michigan (well, great lakes perch and walleye...delicious!)

Thanks to all of you who replied. Everyday I ask myself what would I miss if we moved to Florida. I would miss October festivals , tomatoes, sweet corn, and the grandkids. Since many of you are still there, I am going to assume that none of you would move back for the things you miss. It is going to be a hard decision --- and we haven't even made it down there yet for a preview. We are trying to decide if could completely let go of the midwest, or if we need to have a place here and one in TV. I guess TV needs to put in a corn field and tomato patch!
