Never cared for Krispy Kreme. Way too sweet for me.

I LOVE the ones filled with Bavarian Creme and topped with powdered sugar. Is that DD or KK?

Seems more like a CN.

By the way, the status of this commercial building, and many others in TV, is reported daily in the Construction Update in the Daily Sun.

All the DD stores are franchises so it depends on who owns them. As with all stores of these types they will cut back on the availability of stuff because there just aren't enough people supporting them. We will see more closings unless we start supporting the local business's.

I agree with you DD in Florida are poorly run 441, 466 and Brownwood, minimal staffing and run out of donuts sometimes by 9am.

It's like going to a Florist for a Dozen Roses and early in the day Duh We Don't Got None! :1rotfl::1rotfl:

We support local restaurants when we like what they have to offer and feel safe going there.

Your lucky they didn't open. If that store ended up being like the one on 441 which is rudderless. Employees don't wear their masks properly. The place is a PigPen. The order is rarely correct. Just terrible.

I am a Coffee Fiend. DunkinDonuts has been my spot for as long as I can remember. This store broke me of the DD habit. Count yourself lucky that they changed their mind and didn't open.

Had an interesting experience there about a year ago. Stated coughing and then got serious, won't go into details. Managed to get to counter asked for a cup of water.... meanwhile, things got more serious. Several people stepped up to help, told clerk (an older lady) to get water ASAP... clerk said, that is $.25 first please. My purse was in the booth, two men dug into their pockets and only had bills, literally threw her $1 bill and said FAST, quick, this lady is really in distress. She picked up the bill, waited for the other clerk to ring up an order..... meanwhile a younger man ran out the door and came in with a bottle of water from his car. By this time I was not able to stand, another patron ran to counter and said "quick, hand me a paper cup", she asked for the $ .25, he quickly put it in her hand and she slowly walked to the other end to get him the cup. Didn't go back for 6-7 months. The staff is not very customer friendly, but I finally went back. Got a coffee and a muffin. No coughing problem this time, but as I was drinking my coffee I was watching the ceiling across the room above where they hand people the drinks. There were two HUGE roaches just walking across the ceiling. I know it is silly, most restaurants do have roaches, but when you see them walking across the ceiling in the bright day light... well, I tossed the muffin in the garbage and left. Never said a word to them, the roaches were right over the HEADS of the two women working there, of course they had to know they were there ! Haven't been back, never will go back. I have been in the one in Brownwood, nothing visibly dirty, but you never really know what goes on in a kitchen. Had two sons who worked in restaurant kitchens in high school and college. You definitely do not want to know the details of restaurant kitchens, and the county inspections where they worked were more frequent and far more stringent than Florida's and you still would not want to know the details :ohdear:

Florida’s healthiest home town, pass on the donuts.

ljoro 09-14-2020 05:29 AM

It’s there! It’s doesn’t look like it’s going to be very big. The Dental office is on the other side of the building.

Donut King is where we go!!

It’s still there, just taking awhile. See updates in newspaper.

Sometimes at Donut king you can taste the grease.. They don’t change it enough. I love their sweet buns

csricksdds1 09-14-2020 05:59 AM

That will be a downer for Aspen...great combination...tooth decay at Dunkin, fillings next door at Aspen!

michellevanhaste 09-14-2020 06:20 AM

Agreed......they have dropped the ball on cleaning, services and professional behavior. Maybe if the owners
Paid them a salary worth working for things would change!!!!! Come on owners, think....
