I really like WAWA. It is VERY clean and the food is always fresh.

And the coffee is better. Wish they would let us use our travel cups but we must make sacrifices now.

I have complained to corporate about the Brownwood store. I’m surprised it has remained open. They are always out of product, the service is poor, lacks any resemblance of professionalism, and it is dirty.
When I complained, they said they would look into it. I went back later and found they had done nothing to improve it. They need to visit Starbucks in Sumter Landing to see how to run a professional business.

All the DD stores are franchises so it depends on who owns them. As with all stores of these types they will cut back on the availability of stuff because there just aren't enough people supporting them. We will see more closings unless we start supporting the local business's.

Even B4 Covid quite frequently ran out of product sometimes by 10am at Brownwood location.

Great inventory management.............no waste.

Try DIPPITY DO DONUTS. A small no so great looking place place (but clean inside) on 441 in Leesburg on the side heading back to T.V. They do have a drive up window. If you go in the morning (they close at 2PM I believe) it's standing room only. The freshest warmest best I have ever had. It's a bit of a ride but if you want GOOD donuts give it a try. Coffee is nothing special but this place is for DONUTS! I discovered them on the way back from getting my car serviced because the dealer provided their donuts in the waiting room. Haven't been there since February so who knows, they may be OOB. Call first! They make DD donuts taste like (DD) eating paper towels with icing.

All three DD's around here are horrible. Never mind the donuts, but the people who work there are all kids who don't give a hoot about the customers and once school starts you are lucky to have 2 people working in the store with the driveup line down the block. I understand they are all owned by the same people (that's what one of the workers told me). Not sure about the new one at Colony but I wouldn't doubt it. Their hot coffee is good but the donuts, YUCH and their iced coffee is like drinking coffee flavor water. Years ago each store would bake their own but now it seems they are trucked in from a common bakery somewhere.

One would think that corporate would send people to each store periodically to make sure it is operating according to company guide lines. Foolishly apparently they do not.

The problem is in the last 6 months we have been to DD in a number of cities. Typically the donut selection is poor cannot even get a jelly donut in most stores.

As a result we go elsewhere

Dunkin

Dunkin's name is now on the building.

davem4616 09-14-2020 09:24 PM

bad help is easy to find

combine bad help with poor management and bingo you've got a situation like what is going on at the Dunkin Donut shop

an unintended consequence of the constant growth in TV is that the growing work force needs of businesses and professional practices is exceeding the supply of quality local workers

years ago I saw a sign on the front door of an ice cream shop in Key West
"Help Wanted, must show up!"

I have a DD story from when we lived in N.J.

My Son was with me and I asked for coffee.
They had to refill the coffee machine and my Son leans over to me and said “ Mom the guy just opened the coffee bag with his teeth.” I look up and he’s running his bare hands through the beans.

We took one look at each other and just left. :ohdear:

I'm no fan of Dunkin Donuts by the way, even though I am from Boston. I never liked their coffee or donuts.

But I'm not surprised that the opening of a restaurant during this Covid pandemic is delayed. Restaurants are closing left and right. Why would anyone decide to open one now?

Just shaking my head over that one

I hate to criticize stores but I agree that the stores here are not up to most DD I frequent in other places.I do take into consideration that many of the store I use away from here like Boston have a lot of walk-in traffic something that’s not done here . I believe also that they don’t hire enough people if they get a quick rush of people they fall behind , but I don’t know how they solve that problem when the only rush they have is early in day . I haven’t had a donut in 30 years or so but once in a while I would like a muffin in the past year of infrequent visits in afternoon they hsv never had one . I love the new Starbucks on 466’, I just get black coffee , but it’s a nice place to sit and people watch , I think the DD at colony will be busier all day and stocked better
