This beautiful bird is hanging out at the pond near the Eisenhower tunnel to
Brownwood. This picture was taken two days ago, when I went by this morning The bird had a long piece of white plastic caught on the beak. I hope he can get it off. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is. Also, there are two of these birds there.

It is a female anhinga.

The locals call it a Snake Bird. Fascinating to watch it swim.

Did you just know that? I'm not trying to be silly. Or did you cut and paste that in software that recognizes pictures. And if you did that---could you show me how to do that?

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of these birds in The Villages.
