Default Are you having trouble typing on your keyboard?

When I was younger, I was a great typist. As I get older it is becoming more difficult. I now use voice to text. It works great.

How to Use Voice Dictation on Windows 10: Windows 10’s Fall Creators Update makes voice dictation much easier to use. Now, you can immediately begin dictation by pressing a Windows logo key + H on your keyboard. You don’t have to dig through the Control Panel and set anything up first.

For information search: "voice to text windows logo key + H"

I hope this helps you out. I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I was a typesetter fro 45 years. In my 20's I typed 125 wpm, but as technology increased materials would come in on floppy disks, email, etc. In 85 started on a Mac II at work and everything became so simple. Didn't have to type long legal books anymore, so my typing speed went down, but my coding went faster. Easier to do designs that would of been hard 10 years earlier. Technology changes everything. Keep up with technology or you become a dinosaur.

I share your "keyboard frustration". Age and arthritis have made keyboarding (remember when they used to call it "typing"?) sorta challenging.

I've used Windows 10 voice-to-text but in all honesty, the "Dragon" speech-to-text program is a lot better. It is pricey, no doubt about it, but well worth it. It learns as you go and can recognize regional accents, so it will keep words in the context of what you are speaking for the most part, rather than throw in something totally unrelated just because it may sound close to what you say. They have several versions (home, pro) but I got the basic one and it works fine.

Only thing it will do that is mildly annoying is that at times, for no apparent reason, it will overlap a line of text with the one preceeding it. It is something that is apparent, not real (all you have to do is exit Dragon and reboot, and the text appears in the right place), That is the only real gripe I have with the program.
