It is a new assisted living complex. I saw something about it in The Daily Sun a few days ago.

I thought that site was reserved for a new public library as the present one is so inadequate. I guess profits over what is good for the public wins out again.

The libraries are a county function. Not sure how you can blame TV for utilizing the land for a facility that will provide a service that some residents may find desirable. You do know there is a new library off 466A and Powell Road and that the libraries will share things between branches. All you have to do is request it.

Will be helpful for many....residents and residents who might bring older parents with them, parents in need of such care.

There is a new library on 466A....there is one on Guava St. in Lady Lake, one on W. Berckman St, Fruitland Park, and the Mark Twain Library, located behind Paradise Recreation Center.

Please note that this is a memory care community, specifically for people with memory loss issues. It is different than an Assisted Living that offers support for daily living for people who need basic assistance with dressing, mobility, showers, meals, etc... Many assisted livings have memory care areas within their building in addition to assisted living-this one is only for memory care.

I am thinking about what you posted here, and I can't quite understand the meaning.

Could you clarify a little more?

I need to take issue with your thinking that our County Library on Parr Dr. is inadequate. If I remember correctly, The Villages donated the land for the library on the condition it be available to all Village residents no matter which county you lived in. The ability for this small library to hook up with the rest of the Sumter County Librarys makes it much larger in its responce to our requests. You only need to connect to the library online to realize how effective it is.
