The light in my lamp post (patio villa) stays on during the day. How do I fix this?

There is a sensor on the pole which
looks like a small clear circle. That has to be replaced. Easy fix. Stop at Ace. |

Try you tube for instructions. Be sure to turn the power to the light off.

Home Depot, Lowes will have the lampost and you can also buy a sensor.
Just had mine replaced by a friend and it should work for the next 15 - 20 years! I agree with going to youtube for the video. There will be a breaker that conntrols power to your lampost.

put in a small wattage LED lamp-you won't care if it stays on

Or you are simply covering up the sensor on the pole.

Yeah, we have a vine that continues to climb over the sensor which confuses it.

could it be just a very dirty sensor lense opening.

My sensor is weird. Comes on after everybody else. Stays on longer than anybody else. I've cleaned it, turned the pole, everything I know to do. Guess it is time to replace it.
