I have a smaller house. I want to clean my carpets and floor tile grout. The carpets are builder grade and 1 year old. Thanksgiving is around the corner. Here are my questions:
If I do it myself what should I rent or buy and where should I go? If I hire someone because it only costs a few dollars more who should I hire? I don't have much to move around and I can do it myself. Some say dry clean and some say wet clean. If you can tell me what you paid for so many rooms that would be very helpful. thank-you in advance |

I just cleaned my carpets using a rental from Lowes (or Home Depot if you like). It is a heavy duty machine that rents for about $24 a day. You fill the tank with Hot water and add some cleaning solution and then basically slowly vac the carpet. When the clean water tank is empty the dirty water tank will be full. Just keep repeating the process till you are done. For me it did a good job and since your carpet is only one year old you should be fine. If you don't like the results then you can always hire a commercial cleaning company.
