Default Spanish Springs/The Rialto Theatre

I was hoping to read a thread on this subject for some time. I remember reading a quick series of posts on this subject recently but the topic got off course. If I’m not well read on the subject of ongoing updates at The Rialto please forgive me. The changes at The Old Mill Playhouse in Lake Sumter have been well received. At least to me, it looks as though there is no work being done at The Rialto. None! That’s a shame! It was a bustling corner of activity when operating. Please don’t be so shallow as to say no movies are being made. You could show ‘Bambi’ and people would flock to it. It is my strong feeling that Spanish Springs is being overlooked... and the fact that The Rialto sits behind ‘Pardon Our Dust’ signs for at or over a year is shameful. We wear ‘big boy pants’. Tell us the plan & timeline. If one HAS been verbalized ... forgive me for not being current.

You could try their Facebook page. I have communicated with the Villages' theater managers at times via Facebook messaging.

I imagine there is in no tearing hurry since not everyone is vaccinated yet. The main cause of contagion seems to be breathing air in close quarters.

This article, dated in November, says that plans continue to open the Rialto in the coming months;
