Hi GG,

I'm still here, just not quite as often because of so much going on here at our house and with other things, too. The project is coming along nicely, but ohhhhhhh, soooooooo slowly. It is under roof and the windows are in, but there is quite a way to go. I had forgotten that this kind of work always takes longer than just building new. But it will be OK.

I am sad to say that our TV reservation had to be canceled when I saw how slowly things were coming together. I had originally thought we would be completely finished by Thanksgiving. Now I know better. Work goes along great and then something happens to slow it down. You know the drill. It's just the way it goes sometimes.

And meanwhile I just pick out stuff from little squares and pictures and drawings and hope I do OK.

I keep putting tape marks on the floor to represent where furniture can go. I found out today from one of the guys working here that blue tape is used sometimes on walk-throughs to indicate where things need to be fixed. So as it turns out, those pretend couches and tables and chairs, with blue tape corners to indicate size and placement, I guess looked like I was trying to tell somebody there was something wrong with the floor. And I would move the tape around all the time, too. I guess sometimes we just do not know what signals we may be sending, huh.

I hope to be able to reschedule our TV visit. But for now, it just had to go on the back burner. The plan is to get back to TV eventually. I am hoping for February if something is still available.

And, oh yeah, I sleep with the guy who does the trim, you know, the woodwork and all that stuff, and I am hoping that he will even build some bookcases for me. (Just wanted to see if you were paying attention. It's Mr. Boomer.)

Yes we are finally here. Just got our internet hooked up along with cable. And yesterday our mattress was delivered so we slept in a BED. Life is good. I am too old to be sleeping on an air mattress!!
We closed on our home on Monday and have been shopping and dealing with boxes for 5 days. I'm sure you know the drill. For thrills, we went to test drive golf carts. Sheesh.
Anyway, I figure a few more days of this nonsense and we'll come on out to play. Hope to meet some of you soon and we'll be looking forward to our first Crispers. Coco

Yesterday, Helene and I were doing our "walk" and met two people one street over in Hadley who told us that they too had just received their mattress and could sleep on a real bed....etc. All night I kept thinking..........was that Coconuts and we never exchanged names????.........this TOTV experience is wierd.

Coconuts..........If you are going by our house,we live on Havana Trail, the golf course/Odell rec side at the first bend after Ambrosia. Our sign has our name and also "HAVANA BLAST'. That goes for anyone else who wants to stop by and say "Howdy"....or "boy howdy!"
