I would like to donate many household items but don't know who to donate them to. I would like to have them picked up at my house, if possible, rather than taking them to the facility. Can anyone advise me in this regard? My phone number is: 352-775-4015.

Habitat has a facility on 44 between Brownwood and Leesburg. I am extremely directionally challenged but I believe it is on the Leesburg "side" of the business that sells rocks.

We have had many items picked up by Habitat for Humanity. What a great group they are! Just call them, they pick up ANYTHING!

301 N. Main Street Wildwood 352-330-3333 They use the proceeds from the sale of your items to Helping Hands Ministry which places families into decent housing. The families participate in BOTH sweat equity and a small financial interest. Please take a moment to view a nice video on YouTube via the Helping Hands webpage: YouTube Video | HELPING HANDS |

Salvation Army in Leesburg will pick up items, and also Operation Shoebox will pick up items.

Goodwill Industries is a wonderful charity. Donations are sold in their stores and all proceeds train and help handicapped people.
There is a dropoff truck in the Sparr parking lot right across from Brownwood and also on the western entry street into WalMart on 466. They give you a tax receipt for whatever you donate. Thre is always someone there manning the truck's site during normal business hours.
