Default Where To Find

A good grinder,sub,hoagie...sandwich? Until recently I've been unable to find a grinder that I'd consider good. You'd be surprised to know(as I was) the one I like the best is Publix .You can have them make it the way you like.I especially like the idea offresh and you can't get any fresher! Anyone else care to tell us where you buy your sandwiches?

I prefer Publix but I have had good luck with the Subway in Mulberry and Spanish Plaines. Not as good as Publix but palatable.

Sweetbay makes a great sub too.... same schtick as Publix...you pick bread, ingredients, etc. Huge, packed subs at very reasonable prices.

We enjoy all of the above, but would like to add Chi's to the list. Really good subs.

We've enjoyed Firehouse Subs out on 441.

Subway all the way!! Best bread, everything fresh, many choices and the best thing is that right now all 12" subs are only $5...except the Philly cheesesteak because that has alot more meat on it. 12" subs generally way to much for one person, so for $2.50 you have a great sandwich, save the other half for later.

If you want a steak sub and not a cold cut, the best is Chi's Grill & Ice Cream in the shopping center by SS on 441/27 between Belk's and Winn Dixie.

In Maryland I lived close to a place that made steak subs better than in Philly. I've tried several places here including Beef O'Bradys and until I went to Chi's I thought I would never get a good steak sub down here. This place was equal to those back in Baltimore, and I made sure to tell the owner and they also have great fries.

Chi's for hot steak sammies and Publix for subs/hoagies anywhich ay you like them.

From Philly a grinder is a hoagie that is broiled until the cheese on top is melted and the bread toasted

just a matter of geographical semantics?
