Default Colony Publix

I was house bound for a few days. So hubby had to go grocery shopping. We usually go together. I think hubby has learned to pay attention to what I shop for. He went to Colony Publix and it was packed. He taped another ladies cart and she chewed him out on it. It was that he was reaching over to buy herring and he accidentally tapped our cart into hers. He says he barely tapped it and no big deal until she opened her mouth. Then he heard what the lady bought. She bought 3 shrimp! They couldn't even get a weight on it. What does one do with three shrimp? I guess place it on a salad, but 3???? Oh, it gets interesting around here.

Then I had to send him back to the store a few days later for just a few things and I told him this time to go to Sweet Bay and avoid the crowds, but no, he went back to Colony Publix since he knew where to find everything. So did that trip go smoothly for him - LOL, NO. He had only 10 things to buy and he was half way through and his cart disappeared. I guess he left it at the end of an aisle and would avoid all the other carts by not taking his cart along. Guess someone saw their opportunity and grabbed his cart and emptied it so he had to start all over, but he knew what aisles to go to.

Fun, fun, fun! Thought this was a funny story for you.

Now send him back in January and he'll really appreciate you doing the shopping.

As a single male I can attest that the grocery store is a completely foreign land as far as how to find what I need and stay out of trouble !
I always seem to be violating some set of unpublished rules as I find myself always seeming to move against the flow of traffic .
And yes , I have mistakenly walked off with the wrong cart , placed my itms into the wrong cart . As a result of numerous not so gentle " corrections " I have confined myself to shopping about 45 minutes before the store closes in the evening . Much safer .

Dear ones, I've been shopping Publix forever. That store is a madhouse bc there are too many of us, but they are still doing a fabulous job of taking care of us. We have to collaborate and give each other forbearance on the traffic we create.
The staff are steady, patient, and knowledgeable. I'm used to being next in line, but sometimes I'm second.
Give me Publix or give me home delivered pizza.

that will be something I really miss once I live there. Where I live now, Publix bought out the Albertson's stores in the same vicinity. As a result, I have 3 Publix stores about equidistant to me and all less than 2 miles.
I don't understand why they don't build more stores...that's how they got such a huge market share here

Kitty, I shopped at Bella Cruez Publix one night about 7pm. Went thru the register line with nobody else there. Thought I heard bells and whistles sounding, so I looked up to see if balloons and $20s were about to desend upon me. Then I thought, that would be a commercial. But it was a real nice time to shop there.

There is an android and apple app that tells you where to find items in a publx store
You find the store you shop at and this app lets you know the location if each item

Try it!
