Default Yard Service Tipping

A newbie, and just signed on for a year's worth of lawn/yard service. One-Stop Shopping....pest, lawn, shrub, mowing, pressure washing, donuts, termites, etc...all from the same company. Is there a TV "standard" tipping policy of any sort for this sevice? Yes, I know it's a personal thing, tip for "extra" service, all that. But what about the regular stuff. I've got a very small yard...can be mowed/trimmed by one person in less than a half hr easily. Do you tip your mowers on each visit? In two weeks I've had about five visits...treatment, 2 mowings, donuts, shrubs... 3 different workers. Tip each time?

Just curious... Of course, the work and service is always excellent----they are TOTV favorites!

Well, that's certainly a point, and perhaps the most prevalent one. And, in fact, my first thought. But then I got to wondering.... Still am.

We have used a lawn service for the last 8 years. When they do "extra" work they get "extra" pay. NO tips.

Default Tipping lawn service

We too, have an excellent service and they will very often do something special for me in the way of trimming. We give them a decent Christmas tip and they are always very grateful.

Default Newbie too!

I'm going to be a newbie soon. The closing on my new home in Sanibel is May 4th! Most days I am really excited but there are times that I am scared to death that I am doing the right thing. Unfortunately, my 88 year old mother doesn't want to move to TV so I will be renting out my new home.

It doesn't help that I am in Michigan while my home is being built! My realtor has sent me two weekly videos thus far and it is amazing how fast it is going. I can't wait to see this week's video. And, we will be arriving on Sunday for a week's visit before the May closing! Can't wait.

My yard should be small too! I added 4 foot to the lanai so that took up some of my yard.

Who did you get to do all of your lawn/tree, etc services. I would love to get one company that does everything.

Thanks for your help in this. I am trying to get everything lined up before my May closing.

We use Stellar and they do an amazing job. My husband always took care of our property in our homes in NY and he enjoyed doing it and he also took pride in it. We feel that Stellar treats our property here with the same work ethic that my husband had.
As far as tipping for yard services in TV, we gave a Christmas tip.
