Default White Pelican sighting

Saw White Pelicans on a pond on Sandhill Golf Course early last week, have passed the same pond many times since, but have not seen the pelicans again. Has anyone seen them anywhere else in The Villages? I loved watching them last winter and thought it would be fun to track them this winter.

My NEW Florida Bird Book from Santa says that sometimes they have NINE foot wing extensions. Talk about big bird.

Yes, they are regularly on the big retention ponds in the Summerhill area. We read that they feed until all the fish have been eaten, have no idea if this is true because there cannot be that many fish in those ponds.

If anyone has the pull could you get "alemorkam" to take a picture of them?

They have been hanging around the Santiago Pond for the last 2 weeks. Apparently they haven't cleaned out the fish as they are still there every day feeding.

They are just some more Snow Birds, that we love to see during the winter.

So excited to hear this news - was hoping they would return this winter. I love when they all take flight - what a sight!
