Had one installed thanks to our loving government regulations (all new pumps installed are required to be these type) and had the same issue. Fortunately I had saved the old pump. Took it to a motor rebuild shop and had it rebuilt and installed it myself.

If it is overall noise, my pool guy (J Perry Enterprises) recommended to me to have All Seasons Pools Solar company install a barrier UNDER all of the equipment (filter and pump), when they cam out to install the solar panels. It almost looks like the same material that the solar panels are made of, flat black sheets of plastic with holes running through it. The air holes dissipate the noise of the pump. I mean to tell you, beforehand, we could hear it and feel the vibration in the family room next to the equipment, but AFTER the install, OH my, it could not be heard inside the house anymore and outside you could tell the reduction in noise. Probably reduced noise and vibration 150%.. We are very happy with this solution.

Are you still pleased with the reduction of noise from your pool. Do you have a contact for All Seasons Pools Solar Company?
