Question Why do some Villages...

Hubby and I are close to achieving our long term goal of moving to TV. We have visited the Villages several times, have lurked around the Forum here and would probably be considered stalkers of the villages website.

With all that, need some help with the dofferent Villages. We noticed that some have more homes for sale than others. For instance, DelMar has 4 homes for sale on the same street - is that an indication that something is changing in that Village area - traffic, aging??

Delmar is North of 466 so it is older than the villages south of 466 but I don't know how much older. It stands to reason that we all get older and the original buyers of those homes are on average a little older than the folks buying the newer homes. I am guessing that some of them may be making changes to go to an apartment or assisted living area or they could have passed away. AND sometimes streets can be quite long, like the loops that curve around a whole village.

AND it could be that those folks decided to get them a brand new house.

When you get here and drive around it all makes more sense and you can see for yourself that nothing is falling down or in great disorder.

We did drive around some of the older villages just to get a feel of the different areas, looked at some of the new villages and new construction - so many options to consider. I think we're leaning toward an pre owned home.

Thank you so much - that was my sense from reading the different posts here, but needed some reassurance. It's a big move from the west coast to the east coast!
