Why keep the Rec Centers open and close outside music on the square?
It would seem more logical to close the Rec Centers, where close contact is made in a confined area, than to close an outside venue first. I won't go to a Rec Center presently, but those who do, then go shopping at the same grocery stores as everyone else.

Well, that's fine but there is no reason not to keep the outdoor rec. open.

Florida primary voting at many Rec Centers has been going on since last weekend. It ends today, so should be interesting to see what they do. All outdoor faculties are still active as of today.

We as villagers really don't have to abide by any rule. If you want to go to one of the squares and line dance feel free to go. Bring your own music and have a good time. Otherwise, just suck it up. Now would be a good time to go outside and paint your a little white cross

That was my point, basically. Why not close indoor activities before outdoor activities. I would tend to think indoors would be a more confined, than the outdoors.

Maybe cause you are in close contact at squares. In rec center you’re setting across form each other or to side and crowd not nearly as big. I think you will get you’re wish probably when 1st reported case hits the villages.

And handling the same mahjong pieces and cards as your companions...maybe working a community jigsaw puzzle.

Yes, and you will still spread it to others via your gloved hand.

The large classes are being canceled by the instructors. The rational for remaining open is for those much smaller meetings and classes. Those with only 8 to 10 folks. Those with 50 to 100 are being canceled. Not a rec center policy but an individual instructor or meeting leader decision. Most seem to be making good decisions.

If they closed the rec center everyone would be screaming for their refund on their amenities...when we had a hurricane and the rec centers were closed for a few days and all the furniture was removed from the pools there were people demanding a refund
