Default Internet Service in Richmond

We are about to close on our home in Richmond and are trying to find an internet provider.

Unfortunately, our address does not appear on any map so whenever we need to check on the web sites, it can't find us.

Since I am closing from out-of-state, I really can't knock on any doors and ask the neighbors.

Does anybody know which companies provide internet in Richmond?

Thanks.

Also, not really sure what we have in our Smart Home Ready home. Is this just a smart thermostat or is there something else that makes this special?

Your Villages sales person should be able to track that down for you.

Hello fellow Richmondite!

I closed in December in Richmond - I have Spectrum - was super easy - I walked into their store (but you can call them as well) - and had an appointment the next day where they set me up in my new home. So far so good - no problems and good speed.

Thanks a bunch! It's so great to hear from neighbors. Such a great community. We close in 10 days and wanted to make sure we had internet when we come down in March. No bed yet, but hey, you can't have everything.

Michael I am from Colorado and have lived in the Springs as well. Just getting ready to move into our new home in Richmond in March. I just want to tell you I always enjoy reading your posts and your helpfulness when you answer other peoples posts. You're so positive, helpful and enthusiastic. It makes us who aren't there yet excited to get moved in and start meeting people!

Thanks Katie!
You will love Richmond! Great location - and the walking paths around the lakes by the turnpike are wonderful. This site has been so been so helpful in answering all my “newbie” questions, and I also have obtained many helpful referrals for many things. I haven’t joined any clubs yet, but I am looking at reaching out to the Colorado Club. Welcome to Richmond!

WE had Spectrum, the big benefit is there is no contract, can upgrade/downgrade/cancel anytime

Did not like the reliability - switched to comcast.

Can't wait!
Internet is so much cheaper here (in Florida). I pay about $105/month (incl tax) for 20 Mbs here in NY.
I know the prices I'm looking at are introductory prices, but hey, what cable company sells a 20 Mps plan anywhere. That's what happens when you only have one choice for internet.

When I was setting up my electricity before I moved in they connected me with an Xfinity rep so I didn't have to search around. Happy with it so far with their highest speed. I used my own modem, but before I hooked mine up theirs worked fine during the short time I had it. I sent it back to them via the UPS store located at the shopping center on 466 and Burnsed. You may find this store handy for other things, like returning Amazon packages, so keep it in mind.

The thermostat is a potential head scratcher. We called out SUNKOOL and they had us fixed up and I actually understand what the young man who came to our house explained to me. It really is great to be able to adjust the temperature before you get home. It’s a big money saver too.
We stayed with XFINITY and are pleased so far. It’s nice to have Spectrum as a backup.
Your Home Warranty Department is very responsive about the correct contact for any concerns you may have.

Since your house is noted as "Smart Home Ready" contact Centric fiber.

We close on our house in Newell in a few weeks. In the contract documents there was a flyer for Centric, so I contacted them. They said that the service would be up and running on our closing date and it sounded like they didn't have to send anyone out, They just do it remotely, but you should confirm that.

Pricing is far better than Xfinity or Spectrum. We have Xfinity now in our MN home and we were going to go with them again, but Centric is much cheaper, faster and no contracts.

You need to give them Wildwood as the city not TV. Your mailing address is TV. If you order from Amazon give them time to find you they are building faster and Google can't keep up.
