I change mine often, but always has been a picture of me. I prefer seeing what people with whom I am conversing actually look like, makes it more real. Anonymity sometimes leads to bad behavior.

While I basically agree with you - I don't want to frighten anyone with a REAL picture of me !

My avatar changes all of the time, but to date it always has Caly, my lab assistant. I like some anonymity and she is MUCH cuter than I.

Mine is an acknowledgement of sorts, of two of my best friends.

One of my first sights here was the buffalo. Snapped a pic and there it is (still miss seeing them).

I wish I looked like my dog! But I promise not to hide behind him and be bad.

A picture of my girls when we picked them up at the airport. They are rescue pups and had never been together before they were put on the flight, they bonded immediatley.

Are you familiar with the television series, "The Prisoner"? I was reminded of it the first time that we came to The Villages. Remember, Number 6 lived in "The Village".
Be seeing you.

My avatar is my kitty, Molly, who I adopted in June. I used to have a dolphin as my avatar, as dolphins remind me of Florida, and they are one of my favorite animals.
