Default Moving to The Villages in October

My husband and I own a home in Largo since 2007 and will be moving in full time in October. Any advice on what to do first when we get there. We will both need to get jobs after getting settled. He's a high school math teacher and I am an X-ray tech.

So glad you are getting to move to TV! What village are you moving to, if I may ask. I too will be moving to TV in October. Just found out today that it was all going to work out. I will be renting in Sabal Chase for a year while I explore TV, get to know it and decide where I want to settle permanently. Lots to do between now and October, but so exciting......

Suggestion for what you should do first, after a little unpacking.. Put a note in the door of all you neighbors, at least 10 houses each direction both sides of the street. Introduce yourself, saying please come by to say hello. You don't need to feed or entertain them, just let them know you are there and would like to get to know them.

Many people know the card game but lots of times the spelling of it creates confusion. Pronounced as you'-ker .....but the spelling sure doesn't match up!!

Default Add us to the October List

We close in Maryland October 3, head to TV on Oct. 5, and close there on October 7. Must be something in the water! That October list of new folks is going to be huge. We are soooo excited to be heading down.

My husband and I are also coming to TV, But not till the spring.. I think I am obsessed, I read or look at pictures anything that has to do with TV.. I am so excited.. I found this site and I love it.. Everyone seems so kind and helpful.. Where we live now I don't even know my neighbors.. We will also be looking for jobs when we come down.. Is there a website or a newspaper that is good. My husband is a service advisor,.. me... I want out of management and into something a little less stressful... Any Ideas??:
