The replacement window IS free. They charge for labor to measure the old window and install the new window.

Well, better than $1000 per window right? What was problem with windows that were I year old?

New home warranties are not as all encompassing as people think. Typically they are 1 year for "construction defects" and 10 years for structural failures. This appears to fall under the 1 year construction defect warranty. What does fine print in contract say? Is there a separate clause addressing "lifetime" window warranty?

In our case, the seals let go. Condensation on the inside. Doesn’t anyone read warranties anymore.

I am suspicious of anything that says "lifetime warranty" I would like to see the actual verbiage.

I know a guy who bought a pacemaker with a lifetime warranty. It lasted the rest of his life. Who could ask for more?

Pacemaker may have lifetime warranty but the batteries last 6-10 years. Hope I get to replace them!

Anderson windows last 20 years without condensing on inside and they are up north with rougher weather.

If you paid for the cost of a pacemaker ($30,000+) or internal defibrillator ($50,000+) you’d better ask for more.
