You get the first 5 or so free, and then we opted for the $79 per year unlimited vs the by delivery option.
To me, no different than Costco or Sams membership...well worth it. |

Online only from a distribution center they opened I think in the Gainsville or Jacksonville area. I was super skeptical at first, but man, they are IMPRESSIVE! And NO TIPPING ALLOWED! A huge difference from other grocery shopping services. |

IMHO the ONLY thing "the developer" did NOT get right about The Villages was ensuring a Wegmans was here.

Not a loss for me. Don’t like the store.

Cream came with a better expiration than what I bought at WD this week. Earlier post you like BJs, never been in one. There is one on the way to our base, but they can’t be even close to price and quality for us. Plus base deli, and meat department goes above and beyond. I can online shop if I chose, but then I could miss those pink dessert soy wraps I use.

Why do US supermarkets never sell fresh dairy cream, only the synthetic stuff?
When we are in TV we never find find whole fresh dairy cream anywhere. |

However not all things at Publix costs more. They sometimes sell stuff (unannounced) for ridiculously low prices. Not a lot, and not advertised, but a few weeks back I found NY Strip steaks for $4.99 a pound. Maybe they were right at the expiration deadline (I don't know) but for that price it's not much of a gamble. Just yesterday I picked up several 2-liter bottles of Canada Dry Ginger Ale for $1 a bottle--usually $2.29 per bottle. A few months back some really good grapes for something like 79 cents per pound. Stuff like that. |

Agree about going to more than one grocery store to find all the products you prefer. I've been doing that for years. Here it is Publix, WD, Walmart Grocery and Target. In NJ it was Shoprite and Pathmark. Same for other locations I have resided.

we generally shop the same Publix store....as every Publix store seems to have a different layout and it takes longer to shop
I'll look at the Winn-Dixie ad that comes in the Wednesday paper, but usually it's just a look as WD isn't as close as Publix We're just about the same distance from the Publix we shop at and the Walmart grocery store....just not a fan of Walmart We'll drive down to Clermont once every other month to shop at a BJ's....never was impressed with Sam's Club |

"the developer" doesn't ensure any business to be in The Villages. The business decides on the economics.

Totally aware of that....but since the developers get blamed for everything else....I'd give my eye teeth for a Wegmans here.

If Wegmans came to the Villages area it would put a big dent in Publix's sales.
