Default Wonderful Living In The Villages

I thought it might be fun if we had a discussion or commented on a particular event or happening that makes you glad your in TV. I'll start:

Was in Brownwood yesterday for the veterans day celebration and all of the streets were closed off. It make me think back to the old neighborhood where the Italian feast were held and we could walk around without the fear of traffic and truly relax. It was another one of those many moments where I say, "does it get any better than this"?

What event or happening makes you say, "it's so wonderful here in TV"?

I particularly enjoy the "Cruise in" at Spanish Springs. The pride that participants take in their cars can be seen in the owners faces and their friendly smiles and voices. The cars bring back a lot of good memories of my younger days!

what makes me happy about living in the villages is waking up knowing I am where I want to be.

Everything!

I love my house, my neighbors are great. Had a blast at yesterday's ladies luncheon.

My yoga instructor is awe-inspiring. The bands in the squares are wonderful. Publix has the most respectful employees I have ever encountered and Anthonies has pants for plump old broads.

Did I overdo it?

The clubs are great. I run The Beatles club and attend several others. I also played pool in several leagues.

One thing I noticed is that when I'm down here, I'm the cool guy that plays rock and roll. When I go home to visit my family, I'm grandpa and the oldest one of my sibling.

St Patrick's Day parade and celebrations

Two years running we took visiting friends to this at Lake Sumter Landing and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

One year was quite cold, and we felt sorry for the Riverdancers who were all thin as rakes, but no doubt they warmed up with the dancing (except for their arms, of course).

The plays, concerts, all the other performances, and teaching and club leadership activities by the many Villages' groups. Thanks for sharing your talents, skills, and leadership abilities.

Tooling around in my golf cart and being able to stop and pet a dog. I can't help but smile the rest of the day when it happens. Fortunately for me, it is an almost daily occurrence.

There is just no other place like this.

We are thankful daily that:
we live in such a beautiful place,
can take our golf carts almost anywhere we want to go,
have live music X3 every night, from which to choose,
golf courses that aren't too intimidating for this beginner,
neighbors who have become dear friends,
lots of opportunities to exercise, and no excuse not to
more new things to try than we can ever get around to trying
fun town squares to explore and hang out

Really, what is there not to like?

We are thankful every day for the privilege we have to enjoy this time in our lives, together, and for this great "bubble" which seems almost too good to be true!

The beauty, the rec centers, the town squares and all that activity at each, golf carts for transportation, great friends, so many golf courses, so many pools, so many neighborhoods, these are a few of my favorite things.....

Loved the home and garden show at Sumter last winter. Oh, I just love it here! Pooh has it right. It's all great!
