I had wonderful scout leaders in cub scouts, boy scouts and explorers. But a friend of mine whom I met at age 25 had been taken to a scout meeting by his mother in Oakland, CA. I know what you mean, innocent untill proven guilty. But the evidence on his phone, work computer, and the fact that he was caught in the sting offering up one of his own family members to a man in Canada makes his guilt pretty clear.

70 years ago when I was a kid we were warned by the older boys at Sunday School which males to stear clear of, (two actually) as they were a 'bit funny'

At the same time, these scumbags are often protected by family members who somehow think that the embarrassment of turning one in...is a greater harm than what the victim has suffered.
