Talking Year each village completed?

Does anyone know the year (or even approx. year) that each of the individual villages was completed? I've been searching all over the Internet for that information, but have not been successful.

If "completed" means the year that the last available lot in a village was sold, I don't think you will find that in a public record. I think that would be very difficult to pinpoint... even within the range of a year.

Some thoughts - - - I suppose you could wander through the property records for all 3 counties online and select various random parcels in each Village to see when the initial sales transactions took place. Or perhaps you could contact someone in the TV sales office to see if they'd have that info available.

I've not seen it posted/listed anywhere. Doesn't necessarily mean it's not around somewhere, though!

The Virginia Trace website (virginiatrace.com) has some detailed maps that show the numbers of the districts. The historic section is east of Rt. 441, and the next area built is listed as district 1, then district 2, etc...

Each district is divided into units (1,2,3,4....) Now logically you would think that district 1, unit 1 would be the first neighborhood, wouldn't you? The map doesn't tell you what year each district was built, but it could help differentiate between neighborhoods... maybe.

Trying to help, but not doing a very good job,
Judy

Historic side is oldest then going South are the newest areas. I'm not sure when the western areas were built. Our realtor said Lake Sumter Landing was built in 2003. We looked at patio villas in Caroline & Mallory Square that were built in 2006. Our area of Amelia right next to Mallory Square was built in 2007. Good luck!

When I used the word "completed" I meant substantially completed. This would not include miscel. lots left after the "substantial build-out". Another way to define "completed" could be in reference to the substantial completion of the infrastructure for the village, i.e. roads, curbs, public improvements. Dang! Youse guys r sur goode wit werds!!!

Swampy...here's a link to an old thread (that, in turn, references an older thread). Lots of info here:

We moved into the Village of Poinciana in 2005 and I believe it was probably completed in 2006.

Believe the Village of Pennecamp was practically completed by 2011 mid-year and village of Buttonwood shortly thereafter. There were practically no homes except model homes built in those areas early 2010 when we visited. Charles, St. James and especially Tamarind Grove is being worked on now.

Residents of TV were invited to preview Lake Sumter Landing Market Square during the summer of 2004. Regular activities at the square followed very shortly thereafter.

When I built Oct '04 - Jan '05, there was much construction going on in Sunset Pointe, Poinciana, as well as Sabal Chase, Virginia Trace and a few other locales just south of us. I'm guessing, but I'd say that the Village of Sunset Pointe was completely built by mid-2005.

I've tried various times to find a comprehensive "history" of TV; not all that easy to find! I suspect that folks in the Developer's offices have all the necessary data, but . . .

I have a good friend in Santiago who claims he was the first house there, early 2000. I believe the Marion County portion may pre-date that!
