Default You know what's cool

Having a $5.00 "Villages Florida" license plate on the front of your car and being up north for the summer. This is the first summer in three years that i have one. Cool, out shopping or getting gas and have strangers come over and ask... "you a villager? what village? etc etc. so you get to meet all these nice people even when you're not there.

Where did you find one for $5.00? The last time I priced them at LSL Market Night, they were $16.00.

7 Years ago I bought a simple cardboard front plate for $1 ... dark green background with "The Villages" in gold lettering. It still looks fine.

I think I bought it at the logo/mercantile store.

Banner mercantile has some that just say "The Villages", I believe I paid
$5. The square has them with the village names on them.

All nice unless your car is registered in a state that requires a front plate!

bought a nice green one with classy gold letting... The Villages (the way they write it on their signs) Florida underneath it. I think it is plastic. got it up at spanish springs just near the square. It is a village store selling all village stuff like clothes, hats etc. not sure if i paid five or six bucks.
