Default Advice on a new build

Does building a pool at the time of build affect taxable value? Besides having a pool at closing and dealing with construction headaches what are the pros and cons? TIA

We choose to build pool after market. Only deciding factor. We had a choice at build Pool A or Pool B. No deviation. If you needed to shave off 1’ at a corner, pool denied.

We didn’t want a sun shelf, so we are building small 12x24’ pool we chose the depth, and the shape, not what the builder wanted us to built. Why my guess is a custom pool takes longer to build, cookie cutter pool, built in the correct time frame.

Review this site, after market pools seem to have a long lead-time, and if you get the wrong pool company you may end up with a disaster.

On a new build you will save time and construction disruption. Downside is you will likely have limited choice of pool types. After market lead times are much shorter now with reputable companies. TD offered to move me up a year six months ago but I was mostly completed. Much happier I went custom.

Just got 3 phone calls…last week

10/2022 T&D 29 months. Offered us move up to 10/15/23

11/2022 Premier Pool 18 months. Offered move up 9/4/23

11/2022 Fiesta Pool 13months. Offered move up 8/31/23

All of a sudden pool companies with good reputations are banging on doors to start ASAP
