Please come and look around. Most LOOK your age, but they won't be. Some are as old as 73 and still dancing, having sex, playing golf, pickle ball riding bikes, swimming, and beating younger residents at bridge, bocce, Mahjong, pool and tennis. Welcome. You will just love it here.

I am 50...still working. There are many wonderful people here that have 20 years on me and could beat me at golf, bocce, pickle ball, etc. So please don't waste your time focusing on AGE!!

I am 56. There is plenty to do. The people are so active I really cannot tell how old they are. I have found many nice neighbors to socialize with no matter what their age

Who cares, enjoy the WONDERLAND FOR ADULTS! There a common goal in TV, enjoy life. Life is short and for some it shorter! Enjoy your day in TV!

Let me ask you the same question ------ What's the average age of the neighborhood you live in now? All ages right? That's what you are going to find here, all ages.

Age is just numbers. I have many friends much younger than myself as well as many much older. Does it really matter ????

I think if you spend some time in The Villages you will notice that in general the folks in the older areas tend to be older, those in the newer areas younger. From what I found in City Data, in 2010 the average age in TV was 68.7 vs. 41.3 in Florida. Currently the median age in the US is 35.8 for men and 38.6 for women according to one site. In a 2007 article Money Magazine stated the median age in TV was 65.0. So there you have it!

Today just happens to be my birthday. I am 52. We've owned here four years and we've been full-time two years. Age is just a number. The "senior" people I've met and befriended here can run circles around the younger crowd I use to hang with. I've met people who are an old 53 and I've met people who are a young 100. It is all in your head. We are all getting old at the exact same rate.

I am 53, will be there permanently in 9 more days, working remotely full-time. You are in good company but age doesn't really matter in TV, our closest friends in TV are older than us.

Since this is a 55+ community there won't be too many people your age around here, but no one will hold that against you. I would recommend, however, that you get in shape before you come here. We just bought in Pinellas and I was driving around the new neighborhoid when I saw a phalanx of bicyclists shooting by at a good clip of 20 mph+. I observed them cycling in perfect formation and since I was very interested in getting into biking when we move down here in late July, I scrutinized the riders quite closely. I was surprised to see that many of these lean riders decked out in colorful jerseys were in their seventies and eighties! Then I decided to go play some table tennis and show everyone my energetic and aggressive playing style. I lost twelve straight games. Finally I found someone with whom I could win an occasional game. He was seventy five. Then we were challenged to doubles by a nice "older couple" in their late seventies. They were much shorter than us and I began to wonder how much I would need to soften my game so as to not overwhelm these nice people. Suffice it to say we dropped three straight games and lost the table. I was so frustrated! So, we won't hold your youth against you. I learned my lesson and I am considerably older than you.
