Smile Can't Wait to Finally Move to TV!!!!

Hubby (Dean) and I (Magge) have been planning and preparing it seems forever for our move to our new house in the Edgewater Bungalows. The countdown has begun...target date of November 1!!!

We are first going to drive down with a van full of essential (old stuff) furniture the week of Labor Day...which in time will all be replaced with pieces to enhance our adorable little home in TV. Meanwhile here in Maryland, downsizing is in full manic-mode between our vacation home in Bethany Beach, DE and condo in Abingdon, MD to TV. Thank goodness we will be spending the summer months in Bethany Beach until we are too decrepit to maintain so we don't to worry about the disposition of all that stuff at this time.

We are SO looking forward to making new friends and enjoying the TV "Lifestyle".

Default You will love TV

You will love it here. We've been here for 2 weeks and can't believe how wonderful it is. Only one negative.....the time goes by too fast! We are having such a good time the days seem to get shorter. Can't fit all in that we want to do, which is shopping to make our house a home. We really enjoy the weather, our neighbors and the all around feel of The Villages. Best of luck to you on your new venture.

I second the " You are going to love it here." It sounds like your move has been well planned out. Congratulations and enjoy.

Just remember you don't have to do everything in one day. Pace yourself and smell the posies along the way.

We are fellow Marylanders, living in Perry Hall, MD. Hubby is from Bel Air. Living vicariously through the lucky ones making the move, as we are still several years from retirement.

Best wishes for the new journey. Please post as you go through the process. It gives hope to all of us Wannabees....

Congrats!

We moved from Abingdon and closed on a CYV in Tamarind Grove last July 5th, we're permanent residents here. We fortunately sold our house in Abingdon in just one day last May. We sold it to the assist manager of the new Wegmans in Abingdon. We watched that store go up and left before we ever got to shop there. They were actually a Wegman's couple, the wife was also the new store manager of the Hunt Valley store.

Recently we've met two couples at the Tamarind Grove pool that were from Maryland and still have homes on the eastern shore. One in Berlin and the other in Rehoboth Beach. There was a story in the TV Sun about six months ago about a club of about 100+ Marylanders who are snow birds and have homes at the shore. Good Luck on your move!

MEWilcox,
I am so excited for you! You probably need to downsize twice as much as you think-- but you'll love it hear 10 times more than you've dreamed.

All beat wishes!
